Looking for Halloween Happenings around our area in the next week? We’ve got a list of upcoming events, including trick or treat times for various communities in Columbia & Montour counties.

Oct. 23

• BERWICK — Trick-or-Treat Trail, 6-8 p.m., Berwick Area YMCA, 231 W. Third St., free to all area children; a canned good for the local food bank is requested.

Oct. 24

• BENTON — Halloween Parade sponsored by Benton Lions Club, forms 6 p.m. on McHenry Avenue, steps off at 7; register: Jean, 570-416-5306, provide group name and number of children on float; no ATVs.

• BERWICK — Berwick Elks Halloween Parade, forms 5:30 p.m., steps off at 6, Market and Third streets.

Oct. 25

• LIME RIDGE — Halloween Parade, forms 6 p.m., Lime Ridge Fire Company, steps off at 6:30.

• ORANGEVILLE — Community Trick-or-Treat Night, 6-8 p.m., The Gardens at Orangeville, activity room.

Oct. 26

• DANVILLE — Halloween Parade, forms at Paper Magic parking lot, corner of Market and Wall streets, steps off at 7 p.m. Registration forms at Beiter’s and Cole’s Hardware. For more: 570-275-4863. Rain date: Oct. 29, 3 p.m.

• MILLVILLE — Trick-or-treat, The Gardens at Millville, 48 Haven Lane, 6-7:30 p.m.

Oct. 27

• BLOOMSBURG —Boo!burg, 5:30-8:30 p.m., free children’s activities on Seventh Street, sponsored by AGAPE, Bloomsburg YMCA, BTE, Children’s Museum, and The Exchange; free roasted hot dogs and marshmallows; pumpkin drop.

• LIGHTSTREET — Indoor Trunk-or-Treat, 6-7 p.m., walk through decorated halls of St. Luke Lutheran Church for treats, 9 St. Lukes Way; come in costume.

Oct. 28

• BERWICK — Trunk-or Treat, 4-6 p.m., Good Shepherd Lutheran Church parking lot; decorated cars, trucks, etc.; refreshments, games, prizes, and hayride, weather permitting.

• BERWICK — Trunk-or-treat, 6-8 p.m., First Presbyterian Church, 320 Market St.

• BERWICK — Trunk-or-treat, 6:30-8:30 p.m., 1243 E. Front St. (former Bear Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram).

• BLOOMSBURG —Bloomsburg University’s baseball team will host Baseball Halloween Day at the Ballpark at Danny Litwhiler Field, 9:45 a.m.-2 p.m.; youth baseball clinic for ages 6-12, children are encouraged to wear a Halloween costume; decorate pumpkins and take pictures with BU players, 11 -11:45 a.m.; BU Baseball Halloween game, noon; children are invited to run the bases at 1 p.m. Huskies are encouraging a donation of $10/adults, $5/students; proceeds benefit Make-a-Wish Foundation.

• BLOOMSBURG — Trick-or-treat, 2-4 p.m., Brookdale Senior Living Solutions, 420 Shaffer Road; everyone welcome.

• CATAWISSA — Halloween Parade formsMain and Fourth streets at6 p.m., steps off at 7:30. Theme: “Greatest Show on Earth.” Fireworks set off from bluff following parade. Pumpkin-decorating contest at 1 p.m. for ages 12 and under, Eyer Park, First Street, costume contest follows at 2.

• MILLVILLE — Free trick-or-treat party with veterans, 1-2 p.m., Millville American Legion Post 564, Legion Road; open to children up to age 12; costume judging for three age groups at 1:30 p.m. with prizes and refreshments.

• NEW COLUMBUS BOROUGH — Trick-or-treat, 6-8 p.m.

Oct. 29

• BERWICK — Community-wide Trunk-or-Treat, 4-6 p.m., First Baptist Church parking lot, 224 W. Front St.; games, food, prizes; all community children ages 13 and under are welcome.

• BLOOMSBURG —Trunk-’n’-treat, 6-7:30 p.m., Journeymate Wesleyan Church parking lot, Main Street, Lightstreet; for the entire family; come in costume.

Oct. 30

• BERWICK — Trick-or-treat, 6-8 p.m.

• SALEM TOWNSHIP —Trick-or-treat, 6-8 p.m.

Oct. 31

• BENTON — Trick-or-treat, 6-8 p.m.

• BERWICK — Trick-or-treat, 6-8 p.m.

• BERWICK — Halloween candy giveaway, 7-8 p.m., Berwick Retirement Village 2, for ages 1-13.

• BLOOMSBURG —Trunk-or-treat, 6-8 p.m., Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ parking lot, 260 E. Seventh St.

• CATAWISSA BOROUGH — Trick-or-treat, 6-8 p.m.

• DANVILLE — Trick-or-treat, 6-9 p.m.

• ESPY — Halloween Parade, forms 6 p.m. in Espy Fire Company parking lot, steps off at 6:30, costume judging by age after parade; participants receive bag of treats; food for sale.

• MAHONING TOWNSHIP — Trick-or-treat, 5-8 p.m.; also East End Fire Co. Station 60 Open House, 954 Bloom Road, 5-8 p.m.; tour the station, meet volunteer fire fighters and get a treat.

• MIFFLIN TOWNSHIP — Trick-or-treat, 6-9 p.m.

• NESCOPECK BOROUGH — Trick-or-treat, 6-9 p.m.

• NUMIDIA — Locust Township Police Department’s Trunk-or-Treat, set up 5 p.m., begins at 6, behind municipal building, off Rt. 42; hot dogs and drinks for all trick-or-treaters.


• RALPHO TOWNSHIP — Trick-or-treat, 5-8 p.m.

• SALEM TOWNSHIP —Trick-or-treat, 6-8 p.m.

• SCOTT TOWNSHIP —Trick-or-treat, 6-9 p.m.
