The first event held at the historic battlefield was to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Fort Freeland in July of 1979. It was not a big event, so the Heritage Society thought it would be a good idea to offer more demonstrations. It took two years to get the larger event organized, but in October of 1981, the first Heritage Days was established.
Enjoy two full days of colonial foods, demonstrations, period costumed crafters, tradesmen, and lectures that will help visitors of all ages better understand the lives of the early settlers in the Warrior Run area.
There is something for everyone during the Annual Heritage Days Celebration.
