Mnozil Brass Band – 7:30 pm

Mnozil Brass has established itself as one of the world’s premier brass ensembles. With more than 130 performances a year, the group has captivated audiences with their blend of immense virtuosity and theatrical wit. Their performances seamlessly blend original compositions with classical favorites, jazz standards, and popular hits.

Post show featuring the Susquehanna River Artists with light refreshment and beverage selections.

Directions: Mock Pie Studio is located along Routes 42 & 487 (Mill St.) right in Catawissa Borough at the intersection with Church Street. Park along the lower portion of Church St. and enter through the front entrance there is handicapped accessibility through rear entrance.

Sara’s art quilts are free-motion machine stitched, hand painted, and hand embellished. They are typically small format designs mounted on canvas, reflecting Sara’s unique perception of her surroundings. Her work is one of a kind art, made with heart.

Directions: From Millville, follow 442 East to 42 South, turn right onto Perry Avenue. Take the 2nd right onto Avon Avenue. Avon Avenue turns left and becomes Sunken Heights Avenue. Look for the red house on the left.

Most of my work is based on nature and what I see around me. I call my style Abstract Naturalism.

Directions: From Bloomsburg, take Market Street south toward the Susquehanna River. 1000 Market Street is located across from W. 10th Street in the Dollar General plaza.

My art is intended to transform the viewer to a place of wanting or a place already visited. Emotions of that experience are left up to the imagination, although subtly, by the artist persuaded.

My main focus is painting original abstract impressionistic landscapes and florals, but I also do some sculpture. At my studio I offer private lessons and retail sales.

I presently teach workshops and studio classes. My work is included in many private collections, and has been published in many professional journals and books. One of my artist’s books is owned by the Newberry Library. For the last several years I have concentrated on painting and drawing, focusing on children’s portraits, architecture, and bird illustration. I am currently accepting commissions. Make a left onto English Hill Road and look for 227 English Hill Road. 

My lengthy career as an artist includes sculpture, photography, and drawing. My sculpture and photography works are now in private and corporate collections throughout North America and the abiding sense of completion with these endeavors inspired a return to my “first art”, drawing, which is something I did since I was very young and developed into a personal style while studying biology in college.

Joan has been making playful and macabre art for a long time now. In her 30+ years art career, Joan has managed to combine whimsy and the macabre using paper combined with printmaking techniques and drawing. Additional materials may include beads, bits of minerals, and various threads.

Gail Fox is primarily self-taught and has taken classes from various artists. Her long time love of horses and equine graphite drawings prompted her to begin sketching in late 2003. Plein air painting in the Pennsylvania countryside is one of her favorite experiences as an artist. Her love for all-things-natural is captured in her art, jewelry and personality.

Color and pattern from my painting and illustration background make my functional stoneware fun and whimsical. They will brighten any day.

Directions: Travel Route 487 North to Benton – look for the Century 21 Covered Bridges Realty, Inc. sign on the right, just after crossing the bridge.

Making my way through life as an artist has always been an adventure. I find myself enjoying my oil painting in the country, surrounded by flora and fauna at peace with what I am accomplishing. It is a satisfying life in rural Columbia County! Inspiration is everywhere!
